Online Training: International procedures
The CAE Pelesys International Procedures course is a compilation of modules dedicated to providing recurrent training for pilots operating in International Airspace.
“Good morning ladies and gentlemen, this is your Captain speaking. Welcome onboard Flight 4B7 with service from Hong Kong to San Francisco.”
As a pilot, with 40,000 airports, strips, fields, and heliports around the world, you never know where your career will take you next. So, it’s quintessential to understand the specific regulations and requirements related to intercontinental and remote operations. Flying polar routes, for instance, is a unique feat of its own. On March 5, 2001, the FAA released its Guidance for Polar Operations for commercial airlines which include carrying a minimum of two cold-weather suites, special communications equipment, emergency medical kits, and strategies to handle cold fuel. Or, the limitations associated with twin-engine aircraft and the requirement to remain a maximum distance of 330 minutes away from the nearest airport and needing a special certification called ETOPS to fly farther than possible diversion airports.
No matter where your operations take you, the International Procedures: Worldwide course will help keep you prepared.
